Madison Sato (née Van Rijin) is one of the adoptive daughters of Nandita Merchant, and also a test subject to cure the Partials disease (although of not much use). She is the wife of Haru Sato and mother of Arwen Sato, the first living child in Long Island after the war.

Madison is a kind woman, who wants to see a safe future for the new generation. She is soft, but when needed, doesn't hesitate to speak her mind. She is also overprotective of her loved ones, especially her daughter, Arwen Sato.
